Sergio Ramos comments on Cristiano Ronaldo’s international retirement

Sergio Ramos responded to Cristiano Ronaldo’s announcement on Thursday that he was retiring from international football, mixing humour with praise for the Portuguese star.

Ramos, Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, commented on the player’s Instagram post, calling him a legend and saying it was time for him to enjoy other things in life. The two previously won four Champions League titles together with Real Madrid.

The source said Ronaldo’s decision came after weeks of disagreement with Portugal coach Jorge Jesus, followed by a fine and a 30-day suspension.
