Report: Jeremie Frimpong Open to Leaving Liverpool for Al-Hilal

WinWin reports that Jeremie Frimpong is open to moving from Liverpool to Al-Hilal, who are seeking to sign the Dutch full-back. The report says the player has been offered to the Saudi club and may consider a new challenge that would bring his time at Anfield to an early end.
Frimpong joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 for 35 million euros, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold after the latter moved to Real Madrid. But he has not established himself as a regular starter, while injuries have affected his appearances; he has been out of action since suffering a muscle problem against Brentford on 17 October.
Frimpong made 35 appearances in all competitions during his first season with Liverpool, including 21 in the Premier League, and scored two goals overall, none of them in the league. This season, he has played eight matches, with just over 400 minutes on the pitch, and contributed to three goals, according to the report.
The report says the player's struggles at Liverpool differ from his previous form at Bayer Leverkusen, where he was part of the team that won the Bundesliga and German Cup in the 2023-2024 season, followed by the German Super Cup in 2024. It also noted that Liverpool are considering strengthening both full-back positions, which could make a big offer from Al-Hilal tempting, though no agreement has been confirmed.
