Atlético Madrid considering January move for Jack Grealish

Fichajes reports that Atlético Madrid are interested in signing Jack Grealish during the winter transfer window, while the player is considering a move to the Spanish league in search of a chance to rediscover his form. A potential deal remains uncertain, as it depends on the club’s needs and financial capacity.
Grealish, 31, is currently playing for Everton on loan from Manchester City. He has not featured in the team’s last three league matches and has played eight games this season, totalling 429 minutes, without scoring or assisting.
Grealish was an important player in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side before his role diminished. After joining Everton on loan, his season last year was affected by a foot injury that ruled him out for the second half, while his return to the club this season has not gone as expected. David Moyes has not ruled out his return to the squad, but the player is first seeking clarity about his situation during the international break.
Atlético have previously been linked with Grealish in reports from August 2026, but no move followed. The report suggests that the player could give the team an experienced option on the left, but the arrivals of Lee Kang-in and Jonathan David in the previous transfer window mean that adding another forward is not guaranteed.
Grealish’s wages, following his move to Manchester City in 2021 for around €117.5 million, represent a major obstacle to a deal. A loan with the wages shared is therefore considered more realistic than a permanent transfer, if the financial terms can be agreed.
