Barcelona weigh signing a centre-back in January against waiting for Castello Lukeba

According to Barça Blaugranes, Barcelona are looking to sign a top centre-back and may wait until the summer to pursue 23-year-old RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba rather than try to sign a major player during the winter transfer window.

The report says Lukeba has changed agents and dreams of moving to Camp Nou. It also expects him to leave RB Leipzig next summer for 65 million euros, and points to what it sees as his physical and technical qualities, including his pace and passing, as well as his ability to play at left-back when needed. Under this proposal, Barcelona may prefer to rely on their current defensive options and move for him before next season.
