Al Nassr coach Ange Postecoglou said Cristiano Ronaldo, Kingsley Coman and Mohamed Simakan will miss Monday’s match against Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. He explained that they were being rested because of the congested fixture schedule and extensive travel, to ease their physical workload ahead of upcoming commitments.
Postecoglou noted that Al Nassr began its continental campaign with a 1-1 draw against Pakhtakor, then beat Al Wasl 3-1 before losing 3-1 to Al Shamal. He added that the team had overcome the circumstances surrounding its preparations and difficult start and had reached an excellent stage, expressing hope that the Pakhtakor match would confirm that and stressing the importance of the tournament and Al Nassr’s ambitions in it.
