On his future, Alexis Mac Allister said his position on renewing his contract had not changed, but noted that the club has a new sporting director and new ownership, adding that all possibilities are open and the matter could become clearer this season or next. He said he is currently enjoying playing for Liverpool and will see what happens in the future. The Argentine player has been linked in reports with interest from Real Madrid, after previously saying he was unhappy that he had not been offered a new contract in the summer.
Regarding Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been linked in reports with a return to Liverpool, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague said he will not leave Real Madrid in January. He added that the player has made no attempt to leave for any club and that Liverpool have made no offer to bring him in for his position, describing talk of his desire to leave Real Madrid as untrue.
