The Sun reports that Jack Grealish spent the nights of 19 and 20 October staying out late and drinking alcohol in London and Cheshire before Everton left him out of the squad for a disciplinary issue. The English winger is on loan at Everton from Manchester City.
According to the report, Grealish began his first night out after attending the Pride of Britain Awards, heading to a karaoke venue in London and staying until the early hours. The following night, he was seen at an Irish pub in Wilmslow with friends, including his Everton teammates Jordan Pickford and Tyler Dibling, and his former teammate Kyle Walker. A witness said the group had drinks and watched the Paris Saint-Germain-Barcelona match in a private room.
The report said Grealish trained with Everton on Tuesday after returning home early that day, and the team had a day off from training on Wednesday. The club had earlier said the player would miss the match against Arsenal through illness.
Everton manager David Moyes said he supported the club's decision to leave Grealish out of the team's match, which they won against Newcastle in the English League Cup, without revealing details of the breach. Grealish has played six matches for Everton this season without scoring, and the club has not confirmed whether he will return to the squad for Monday's Premier League match against Newcastle.
