Morgan Rogers explains his brilliant goal after Chelsea’s “big” win over Manchester United

Morgan Rogers described Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Manchester United as a “big” result after his second-half goal helped his team secure victory, following defeats to Tottenham and Liverpool in their previous two matches.
Rogers drove forward with the ball from the middle of the pitch, evading several attempts to dispossess him before lifting it over goalkeeper Senne Lammens. He said he tried to draw the defenders forward, then found himself in front of goal and kept his composure, finishing the move with a goal.
Rogers added that Chelsea needed a strong response after a difficult week and a bad result the previous weekend, noting that the team imposed its superiority in the second half and deserved to win. He also said he had returned to his natural position and was pleased to play alongside Cole Palmer as a playmaker, explaining that his job was to occupy the defenders and interchange positions with him. The most important thing, he said, was that they played well and the team succeeded.
