Mac Allister Denies Conspiracy Theories About Argentina’s World Cup Final Loss

Alexis Mac Allister rejected conspiracy theories circulated by some fans to explain Argentina’s loss to Spain in the World Cup final, saying the team gave its all but did not manage to win.

The Liverpool midfielder explained that what is posted on social media does not change what the players know about how the match unfolded. He added that Spain were better and deserved the victory, noting that the difference was in footballing ability, not physical attributes.

Mac Allister noted that mental fatigue may have drained some of the players’ energy after the tense semi-final against England, as well as the pressure of playing every three days and the intense period leading up to the match.
