Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha has returned to Bayern Munich’s radar, with the German club considering a move for him in an upcoming transfer window after its previous attempt stalled over the summer.
According to TEAMtalk, Bayern remain in contact with the 18-year-old’s representatives but have not made a new formal offer to Liverpool. The German club had been prepared to pay around 70 million euros in its previous attempt, but Liverpool insisted on keeping the player.
Liverpool value Ngumoha and are seeking to secure his future with a long-term contract, while his current deal runs until the summer of 2028. The winger has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season and set up two goals in the 4-3 Champions League win over Villarreal in October.
According to the report, Bayern’s interest is informed by its experience with Luis Díaz, whom the club signed from Liverpool in the summer of 2025 for 65.5 million pounds including add-ons, before he became an influential part of its attack. But the report says a move for Ngumoha is far from being settled, with Liverpool determined to keep him and banking on his development.
