French teenager Junior Kroupi has attracted renewed interest from European clubs after returning to action for Bournemouth following an injury that sidelined him at the start of the season. According to a Mirror report, Arsenal are monitoring his progress ahead of a potential move for him in January, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain expected to compete.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking for a striker who can play in more than one position. Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 appearances during his first season in the Premier League, and has previously been linked with interest from Barcelona, Bayern, Paris and other clubs.
Barcelona included Kroupi among their options last summer as an alternative to Argentina's Julián Álvarez. L'Équipe reported that the Catalan club made two offers, each worth less than 100 million euros, but Bournemouth rejected them. Reports at the time said the player was enthusiastic about the idea of moving to Barcelona.
The player's potential price tag could be an obstacle for interested clubs: reports last summer said Bournemouth valued him at around 120 million euros, when he was linked with Tottenham. A foot injury had slowed the start of his current season before he recently returned to action.
