Zamalek explain Ahmed El Ghefaly’s injury and absence against Misr Insurance

Zamalek’s coaching staff explained that a hamstring injury kept Ahmed El Ghefaly out of their Egypt Cup round of 32 match against Misr Insurance, played yesterday, which Zamalek won to qualify for the next round.
According to the coaching staff, El Ghefaly felt pain during one of the team’s training sessions, so he was left out of the match to protect his health and avoid risking his participation while injured. The decision was part of a cautious approach to muscle injuries amid a crowded fixture schedule.
The medical staff are monitoring the player’s condition to assess his response and determine his treatment and rehabilitation programme, while the coaching staff hope to have him back in the coming period, before competitions resume after the international break.
