Mourinho Set to Field Real Madrid’s Strongest Line-Up Against Valencia
José Mourinho is expected to field Real Madrid’s strongest players against Valencia in the twelfth round of La Liga, despite the short recovery period after their Champions League match against AEK Athens.

José Mourinho is expected to rely on Real Madrid’s strongest players against Valencia in the twelfth round of La Liga, despite the short recovery period after the Champions League match against AEK Athens. A report by AS said that Ibrahima Konaté and Dean Huijsen would start, while Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler would return to the coach’s plans after resting and not travelling to Greece.
Mourinho explained that Real Madrid’s squad arrived at the club’s training ground at three in the morning after the match against AEK Athens, before beginning a recovery period. He described Valencia as having an experienced coach and called the match one of the toughest in the league. The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday evening at Mestalla.
Real Madrid enter the match on the back of seven consecutive wins, during which they scored 21 goals and conceded eight. The win is especially important given that Barcelona and Atlético Madrid play the following day, as a slip-up by either direct rival could give the team from the capital an opportunity in the title race.
