Broadcaster Dina Salim said Zamalek’s board, led by Hussein Labib, is working during the international break to secure funds to pay foreign players’ dues, as they have not received their installments for October and November.

Salim added that the board is seeking to resolve the issue before it escalates, including by avoiding formal warnings to FIFA or threats to terminate contracts, and to maintain stability within the team. She noted that Zamalek has decisive matches ahead in the group stage of the CAF Champions League, in addition to the resumption of the Premier League.
