Jamie Redknapp believes Brighton could be Arsenal’s main Premier League title rivals

Jamie Redknapp believes Brighton could be Arsenal’s main challengers for the Premier League title, though he thinks Arsenal are favourites to win it. His comments came after Manchester City lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest, having been beaten by Brighton the previous week.
According to the report, Arsenal are six points ahead of Manchester City, while Brighton could overtake City into second place if they beat Brentford, leaving them five points behind Arsenal. Brighton’s case is supported by their win over City and their earlier 3-0 victory over Arsenal, with the report noting that they have scored plenty of goals this season.
The report noted that Brighton’s participation in the Conference League could create pressure because of the close scheduling of Thursday and Sunday matches, but said the team had given its players rest through rotation. It also reported that manager Fabian Hürzeler is hoping Kaoru Mitoma will return soon, and that Jack Hinshelwood has recently returned from injury, with young players also making their mark in the squad.
The report concluded that Brighton can compete with Arsenal if they avoid injuries, while the European knockout stages could become a factor next season.
