Liverpool player Bradley Barcola says he feels no pressure from being compared with Mohamed Salah or from talk of him joining to replace the Egyptian star, and expressed his appreciation for what Salah did for the club. Barcola joined Liverpool after Salah left the team at the end of last season.
Barcola said he did not feel he had to take responsibility for his transfer fee, and that he was aiming to give his best and leave his own mark on the club’s history, without feeling under pressure to do so.
He added that he had not yet reached his best level and was working with his teammates to improve their understanding and cohesion on the pitch. On leaving Paris Saint-Germain, he said the time was right for a new experience and that Liverpool’s offer was not easy to turn down. He said he was happy to make the move and wished his former team well.
