Arsenal are reportedly considering moves for Bournemouth’s French striker Eli Junior Kroupi and Juventus’s Turkish player Kenan Yıldız during the January transfer window. Manager Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his attacking options, prioritising a centre-forward as well as a player who can fill more than one position and operate from the left.
Kroupi is 20 years old and scored 13 goals in the Premier League last season. Arsenal consider him a long-term target, but Bournemouth are not inclined to sell him midway through the season, and his value is estimated at around £80 million. Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in him, while Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring his performances.
Arsenal previously enquired about Yıldız last summer, but Juventus told them the player was not for sale at the time. His value is estimated at around €100 million, and persuading the Italian club to sell him may require a huge offer. The report says signing both players in January is unlikely given the cost and their clubs’ reluctance to sell.
