The board of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee visited Egypt’s amputee football team at its training camp in Ismailia to support the players ahead of their participation in the World Championship, scheduled to take place in Mexico this November. Committee President Hossam El Din Mostafa and board members Ibrahim Amin and Rami Abdel Hamid attended the visit.
Hossam El Din Mostafa said the committee was working to provide support and create suitable conditions for preparations, including seeking to secure comfortable travel arrangements because of the long distance to Mexico. He urged the players to give their utmost, saying that a strong result could open a new chapter for the team.
Rami Abdel Hamid, head of the team’s delegation in Mexico, said travel arrangements and the necessary procedures had been completed. Ibrahim Amin praised the team’s development and said that achieving success at the tournament could help spread the sport and increase its popularity.
The closed training camp will continue until 8 November as part of technical and physical preparations led by coach Mohamed Khairy, including work on team cohesion and tactical aspects. The committee had held trials to select the team members at Aerosport Club before announcing the participating squad.
