Aston Villa have nine points from wins in their first three matches and sit in second place, having scored 12 goals and conceded three. Barcelona have collected six points, scoring 11 goals and conceding six.
Uzquiano noted that Aston Villa are competing for top spot in the competition with nine points, but questioned their ability to keep pace with Barcelona. The comparison highlighted the English side’s advantage in points and defensive solidity, while the teams were closely matched in attack.
Barcelona enter the match after losing to Paris Saint-Germain, seeking to improve their position in the league-phase table, while Aston Villa are looking to continue their perfect start and compete with the continent’s teams for the higher places.
