Michael Carrick Faces One Last Chance to Save His Manchester United Job

Michael Carrick faces Aston Villa tomorrow in the tenth round of the Premier League, in a match that could be his last as Manchester United manager. This comes despite his side’s 3-2 win over Roma midweek, which gave the manager a temporary reprieve before the international break.
United were 0-2 down to Roma at half-time before turning the score around at Old Trafford thanks to two late goals from Matheus Cunha. The win ended the club’s run of nine matches without a victory, its longest since the 1988-1989 season.
Despite the win, Carrick remains under intense pressure; United could find themselves bottom of the Premier League when tomorrow’s match kicks off if results elsewhere do not go their way.
