Mathys Tel injury raises Tottenham concern after Jayden Bogle challenge against Leeds

Tottenham striker Mathys Tel went off injured before half-time against Leeds on Saturday after a challenge by Jayden Bogle targeted the area around the Achilles tendon in his left foot. The club will monitor his condition during the international break.
Tel initially tried to continue playing, but then signalled that he could not carry on, and Tottenham replaced him with Dominic Solanke in the 43rd minute. Referee John Brooks showed no card to Bogle, and the video assistant referee backed the decision not to send him off, deeming the challenge reckless but not a red-card offence.
The decision drew objections from Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi, while commentators and television pundits criticised it, with some saying the challenge warranted at least a card. In a separate incident, VAR reviewed a possible handball by Mateus Fernandes in the area. The decision not to award Leeds a penalty was upheld because the ball struck the upper arm.
