Manchester United sent scouts to watch Daniel Svensson, Felix Nmecha, Jobe Bellingham and Serhou Guirassy during Borussia Dortmund’s match against Bayern Munich, according to a TEAMtalk report. Nmecha, Bellingham and Guirassy are long-term targets for the club, and monitoring the players could be the next step in its efforts to sign them.
United are looking for a striker in the winter transfer window, as Joshua Zirkzee is not part of Michael Carrick’s plans and has played only 179 minutes in nine matches this season. Benjamin Sesko is also suffering from a leg injury, making Guirassy a potential option; the striker has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 13 matches this season, according to the report.
Left-back is another position of interest to the club, with Luke Shaw the only specialist left-back in Carrick’s squad, while Patrick Dorgu has moved to the wing this year. Svensson has made 80 appearances for Dortmund, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.
Nmecha and Bellingham have both been on United’s list of targets for some time, and the club pursued Nmecha in the summer. The report says signing either player would depend on the state of the midfield and Bruno Fernandes’ future, although the club’s interest in both remains after its midfield was reshaped in the most recent transfer window.
