Manchester United beat Aston Villa 1-0 to end unbeaten run

Manchester United ended Aston Villa’s seven-match unbeaten run with a 1-0 win in the Women’s Super League on Sunday. Julia Zigiotti scored the only goal with a second-half header.

Zigiotti scored from a cross at the far post, while Aston Villa were unable to find an equaliser despite their efforts. The match marked Jill Baijings’ first appearance since she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in September 2025.

This was Aston Villa’s first defeat since losing to Tottenham in September. The team will host Birmingham City in the city derby in the next round of the league.
