The striker said most terms of the new deal had been agreed and lawyers were handling the remaining details, adding that an announcement could come within days.
Speaking at the press conference before Bayern Munich's Champions League match against Atlético Madrid, Kane added that negotiations had continued over the weekend and up to the day of the conference. He described his move to Bayern as an important step in his career and said he was happy with his decision, despite how difficult it was for him and his family to be away from England.
Kane did not rule out playing in the Spanish league in the future if circumstances allowed, noting that he had been interested in Spanish football from a young age and followed Barcelona and Real Madrid matches, particularly during the period when Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were at their peak. He said he had not had the opportunity to play in Spain after his years at Tottenham and subsequent move to Bayern.
Kane expected a difficult match against Atlético Madrid, praising their physical strength, defensive organisation and pressing, as well as their coach, Diego Simeone. He also explained that his role was not limited to scoring: he drops back to support his teammates, contributes to building attacks and moves around the pitch.
