Stuttgart striker Deniz Undav expects to be left out of the Germany squad that coach Jürgen Klopp announces on Thursday for the Nations League matches against Serbia on November 13 and the Netherlands on November 16.
After Stuttgart’s 0-2 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League, Undav said he had received no indication that he would be called up. He added that he did not expect to join the national team, noting that it would be difficult without scoring goals.
Undav has not scored in the Bundesliga this season and has netted once each in the Champions League and the German Cup. He also missed the two most recent national team squads, in September and October, which included 44 players, amid discussion of his form and physical fitness.
