Chelsea fans prefer relying on Mike Penders against Sunderland

Chelsea fans’ poll favoured starting young goalkeeper Mike Penders against Sunderland, despite the possibility of Emiliano Martinez returning to training and to Argentina’s squad. Penders received 95% of the votes, while Martinez got 5%, with the latter’s situation still unresolved, according to the report.
Voters leaned towards Chelsea continuing with a four-player defence, an approach that helped the team keep a clean sheet in the previous match. But support was lower for Wesley Fofana (41%) and Malo Gusto (14%), with the coach potentially choosing either of them.
The most preferred lineup included Penders; Shavaria, Colwill, Acheampong and Balestra in defence; Lavia and Henderson in midfield; and Rogers, Palmer and Estevao behind Neto. The remaining votes for the attack were split between Danny Welbeck (32%) and Emmanuel Emegha (12%).
