Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal defender Piero Hincapié, with sporting director Deco exploring the possibility before the January winter transfer window opens, according to a report by Sport.
Barcelona believe the 24-year-old Ecuadorian defender, according to the report, could give Hansi Flick more options, as he plays both centre-back and left-back. The report says his limited involvement with Arsenal this season could open the door to a departure, but Arsenal may be reluctant to let him go during the season. Deco is said to have made initial contact with his representatives to find out how he feels about a move. Hincapié has also been linked with Real Madrid.
