AS: Giuliano Simeone Is Atlético Madrid’s Most Dangerous Weapon Against Barcelona
Spanish newspaper AS says Giuliano Simeone is one of Atlético Madrid’s key players ahead of Sunday’s La Liga match against Barcelona in the twelfth round. The paper believes Barcelona’s high defensive line could give the Argentine space to exploit behind the back line.
Spanish newspaper AS said Giuliano Simeone is one of Atlético Madrid’s key players ahead of their much-anticipated match against Barcelona on Sunday in the twelfth round of La Liga. The paper believes Barcelona’s approach of pushing its defensive line forward could allow the Argentine to exploit the space behind the back line.
The paper noted that Giuliano caused Barcelona problems in a Copa del Rey match last season and helped get Pau Cubarsí sent off. He goes into the match having contributed to six of Atlético’s goals this season, scoring three and setting up three, further establishing himself as a tactical option for the team’s coach, Diego Simeone.
