Ahmed Shobier defends Emam Ashour and advises him to make the most of the five years left on his Al Ahly contract

Broadcaster Ahmed Shobier defended Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour amid the criticism he has faced, saying the player feels he is facing a strong campaign as he tries to regain his form after an injury kept him out of action.

Shobier noted that Ashour had looked impressive in Al Ahly training and, according to him, was the best player in training over the past three days, as he seeks to regain his fitness and form.

Shobier advised the player to focus on his current career with Al Ahly and make the most of the five years remaining on his contract, adding that he would have time after retiring from football to do whatever he wants.
