Mourinho criticizes La Liga schedule after Real Madrid beat Valencia

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho criticized La Liga’s fixture schedule after his team beat Valencia 3-0 away on Saturday evening. He said the congested schedule and travel during a busy week had left his players needing rest.
Fabrizio Romano quoted Mourinho on X as saying he hoped this pressure would not be repeated for his team, adding that La Liga has the authority to organize the schedule. He noted that several of his players would now join their national teams, despite needing a break.
Federico Valverde, Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé scored for Real Madrid, who claimed all three points and remained level on points with Barcelona at the top of the table.
Mourinho has repeatedly pointed to what he sees as differences in recovery opportunities resulting from the fixture schedule, compared with opponents who have had a more favorable schedule.
