Ibrahim Maza hopes to move to Paris Saint-Germain
Algeria international Ibrahim Maza, a Bayer Leverkusen player, said he would like to play for Paris Saint-Germain in the future, describing joining the French club as a major ambition.

Algeria international Ibrahim Maza, a Bayer Leverkusen player, has expressed his desire to play for Paris Saint-Germain in the future, describing joining the French club as a major ambition. In comments to German media, he said PSG’s standing makes it one of the destinations he has his eye on, alongside major clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal.
German media reports have discussed Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in signing Maza, while French sources have said the club may not begin formal negotiations in January, preferring to wait. Bayer Leverkusen are determined to keep their player, whose contract runs until the summer of 2030, and are seeking to extend it. According to the source, there have been no official announcements or publicly reported direct negotiations between the clubs.
The speculation coincided with an injury to winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique said injuries do not necessarily mean immediately turning to the transfer market. He added that the team can adapt, while leaving open the possibility of signings if suitable opportunities arise.
The source noted that Maza’s market value is estimated at around 50 million euros and that he moved to Leverkusen from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2025. It said he has played 56 official matches for the team, scoring four goals and providing three assists this season.
