Former Zamalek player Bassem Morsi praised Canal player Mody Shalata after his appearance against Al Ahly, saying he put in an impressive performance and unsettled the Red Team’s defence with his movement and individual ability.
Speaking on the “El Clasico” programme with presenter Siham Saleh, Morsi jokingly described Shalata’s performance, saying he “carried Al Ahly’s defence on his shoulders and took them into the goal.” He also expressed surprise at the criticism directed at the player, and said that his performance against Al Ahly showed he could make a strong impression against the big teams if given the right opportunity.
