Former Farco and Ghazl El Mahalla head coach Ahmed Khattab said Al Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids have outstanding players, but believes Pyramids currently look like the most complete team.
Khattab described Zamalek midfielder Mahmoud Gihad as one of the best midfielders in Egypt and said he stays in regular contact with him. He added that repeated talk of the player suffering from a chronic injury affects him mentally and makes him afraid to move around on the pitch, which is reflected in his performance. He said Gihad needs psychological and moral support.
Speaking about Ahmed Sherif, Khattab said he is a natural striker with great technical ability, but has not yet reached his full potential with Zamalek. He also described Al Ahly defender Yassin Marei as a good player with room to improve.
